Description
This ceramic bowl is handmade by Latvian pottery artist Dace Virsniece. The pottery artist has an amazing talent for combining contemporary with traditional. The ornament on the bowl is a slightly modernised version of an ancient technique called “iedobīšu tehnika”, which was widely used in the region of Europe know today as Latvia to decorate various type of dishes and other products. Although, this product itself is a piece of art and a great example of craftsmanship, it may be also very practical to use in your everyday life.
You can use this bowl for your breakfast cereal, can be used either for cold or warm dishes, used to serve sweets, nuts etc. or simply to decorate your table.
You can also complement your table’s serving setting with other pieces of the collection such as salt and pepper shakers, honey/jam serving dishes with lid, bowls of various sizes, and cups. These cups are so universal that can be used either to drink your favorite tea or coffee, as décor or vase for flowers or even as a pencil holder.
Dace Virsniece is a pottery artist with whom ETMO has collaborated since 2013. She has over 40 years of experience as a ceramic artist.
