This ceramic salt shaker is handmade by Latvian pottery artist Dace Virsniece. The pottery artist has an amazing talent for combining contemporary with traditional. The ornament on the salt shaker is a slightly modernized version of an ancient technique called “iedobīšu tehnika”, which was widely used in the region of Europe know today as Latvia to decorate various type of dishes and other products. Although, this product itself is a piece of art and a great example of craftsmanship, it may be also very practical to use in your everyday life.
The pepper and salt shakers are our bestselling pieces from the artist’s collection “White”. They can be used as salt and pepper shakers daily or use for Easter time or simply for decorative purpose.
